In addition to her work as a Psychotherapist in private practice, Sinead has also worked as an Addiction Counsellor in both a residential and community setting for over four years.

"My approach to therapy is to create a compassionate and accepting space where you are safe to examine all aspects of your current life difficulties.  Through exploration of your emotional and psychological distress, within the context of past and present experiences and relationships, you arrive at a deeper understanding and insight of the dynamics of your current problem and of yourself.  From this place of insight we work collaboratively to access your inner resources and identify the best way to bring about positive, meaningful change.

Over time therapy has the potential to expand self-acceptance, creating a more positive and fulfilling way of relating to ourselves and others."

Sinead has a keen interest in the areas of Mindfulness and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and is currently undergoing additional training in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT).
